Finding the perfect nude shade can sometimes be more difficult than finding a bright color. One looks too pink, another too warm, and the third lacks milkiness. Even a slight difference in tone or undertone can completely change the look of the finished manicure.
That's why You Are Cute created Tone — a new collection of Builder Gel No. 48–59, which includes 12 natural shades . At first glance, they are similar, but each has its own character and is revealed differently in the work.
One nude — different tones
Tone is a collection about subtle differences that matter. Here, the master chooses not just a nude gel, but the tone that will help achieve the desired result: warmer or cooler, pinker or beige, milkier or more neutral.
Shades are best revealed in comparison. Placed side by side, they demonstrate the difference in undertones, saturation and transparency. This makes it easier for the master to choose the right option for a particular client, nail shape and manicure idea.
The whole difference is in the tone. And every tone matters.
More than just nude
A nude manicure can be discreet, delicate, warm, cool or almost weightless. It is the undertone that determines the final appearance of the coating. Therefore, a large palette of similar shades is not a repetition, but an opportunity to work more precisely with color.
The Tone collection allows you to:
- more precisely select a nude shade for the desired result;
- create both a natural translucent coating and a more expressive effect;
- work with different styles - from minimalist manicure to complex modeling;
- to have not one universal nude in the palette, but a selection of tones for different customer requests.
All shades of the collection easily fit into everyday and festive looks, look harmonious on their own and can become the basis for a jacket or designs.
Builder Gel Tone in action
Builder Gel is a hard polymer material for strengthening, modeling and nail extension. Due to its strength, it allows you to build the correct architecture, lengthen the nail plate and maintain its shape when worn.
The gels of the Tone collection have a medium consistency, closer to liquid, so they are easy to distribute and level. The material is thixotropic: when moving with a brush, it becomes more plastic, and after application, it holds the given shape well. Its consistency also reacts to temperature - in the cold, the gel thickens, and in the heat it becomes thinner.
Builder Gel Tone:
- acid-free;
- has delicate translucent pigmentation;
- suitable for strengthening and extending nails;
- convenient for the extension technique without filing;
- suitable for working with upper molds;
- does not cause strong heating and burning during polymerization;
- does not shrink and holds the arch well;
- becomes solid at a thickness of 1 mm or more.
The recommended thickness of the material is approximately 0.5 mm at the end and 1 mm at the apex . If the layer is thinner than 1 mm, the gel may sag slightly, but this does not affect the wear of the coating.
For strengthening and building
The collection is suitable for various working techniques. Builder Gel Tone can be used for strengthening natural nails, correcting architecture, classic extension and modeling on top forms.
- Before applying, the nail plate must be properly prepared: perform a manicure, remove dust and thoroughly degrease the surface with Nail Prep. Builder Gel requires a Rubber Base base. The base should be applied in an even thin layer, carefully drawing the area near the cuticle and sinus.
- After the substrate has polymerized, it is better not to remove the sticky layer - it provides chemical adhesion to the next layer of material. Then, the gel is used to level, strengthen, or model according to the chosen technique.
- The material is polymerized in a UV/LED lamp with a power of 36–48 W with a wavelength of 365–405 nm . 120 seconds are recommended for complete polymerization.
How to choose your Tone
To see the difference between similar nude shades, compare them side by side and evaluate not only the overall color, but also the undertone, milkiness level, and pigmentation density. These are the details that help you find the right option and achieve a harmonious result.
Tone is designed for craftsmen who notice nuances and strive for precision in every job. Sometimes, there's only one tone between "almost there" and the perfect shade.
